Job Title: Clinical Lab Scientist Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Clinical Lab Scientist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required, strong blood bank experience required License: State licensed: California CLS Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Strong blood bank experience - Experience in hematology, chemistry, and/or blood bank - Commitment to working 3 of the 5 holidays Description: Candidates need strong blood bank experience. This is a trauma hospital with a high volume of massive transfusions. Candidates may be scheduled between different locations. Candidates may float between locations at any time before or during shifts. Weekends may exceed every other to meet department needs. Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered. Candidates should have experience working with transfusions. Reference checks are required covering prior experience within the last 3 years. Must be able to perform various lab tests and procedures. Responsibilities include conducting blood tests, analyzing samples, and ensuring quality control of lab results. Candidates are expected to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment. All travelers are expected to float between facilities if required. Failure to float may result in termination of assignment. Compliance with all policies and procedures is mandatory. Candidates must have a positive attitude and be a team player. Strong communication skills are essential for this position. This role may involve dealing with sensitive patient information and requires a high level of professionalism.
