Travel Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - $2,480 to $2,640 per week in Janesville, WI

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MLT/MLS to perform high-complexity laboratory testing and support multiple laboratory departments. The candidate will be responsible for specimen collection, testing, result verification, quality control, instrument maintenance, and accurate reporting while following CLIA, laboratory, and facility standards.

Responsibilities

• Collect and properly process patient specimens.
• Receive patients, order and collect samples, and document laboratory activities using the information system.
• Perform automated and manual testing in Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Urinalysis, and/or Microbiology.
• Analyze and verify test results for accuracy and validity before reporting.
• Meet established turnaround times and appropriately communicate critical results.
• Perform quality control and proficiency testing according to laboratory policies.
• Troubleshoot QC issues and take appropriate corrective action.
• Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and minor troubleshooting of laboratory instruments.
• Participate in method and instrument evaluation and implementation.
• Assist with training and orientation of new staff and students.
• Maintain competency in current procedures and obtain competency for newly implemented methods.
