Job Title: Clinical Lab Scientist Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Clinical Lab Scientist Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 Years Required License: Valid State License Required Certifications: ASCP-BB Preferred Must-Have: - Blood Bank Experience Required - Epic Experience Required - Trauma Level I Experience Required - Experience in Large Hospital (300+ Beds) Description: Start time is 21:30, but may flex to 20:00 as needed. Please include daytime Pacific Time interview availability at the time of submission. If your application lists multiple lab specialties, please provide a percentage breakdown of time spent in each specialty. Two years of experience required. Recent and current blood bank traveler experience is mandatory. High volume type/screen and crossmatch experience is essential. Weekends may exceed every other to accommodate unit needs. Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered. Daily duties will include handling 30-50 samples in a busy hospital environment. Experience with Wellsky and Immucor instrumentation is required. Hands-on skills required include blood banking procedures and electronic crossmatch. Familiarity with transfusion reaction workup is essential. Participation in patient identification processes is expected. Applicants must display proficiency in quality assurance and controls. All travelers are expected to float between facilities within a given state. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment. This position requires commitment to work three of the five major holidays. References required covering the last year within the compliance process.
