Job Title: Therapist MS Profession: Therapist Specialty: - Duration: 27 weeks Shift: M - F Hours per Shift: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm Experience: Experience required varies by department. Clinical assessments and crisis intervention experience is preferred. License: Master’s degree in social work (MSW) or Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) from an accredited school is required. Certifications: N/A Must-Have: - Clinical assessments - Crisis intervention - Working with diverse patients - Acute care experience - Bilingual Description: The Therapist MS provides comprehensive assessments, coordination, planning, and implementation of a psychosocial treatment plan for patients. This role aims to promote optimal mental health by providing ongoing psychosocial support and services to patients and their families for adjustments to illness, grief, addiction, and other psychosocial stressors. Works with an interdisciplinary team to achieve treatment goals. Utilizes a variety of factors to evaluate patients' biopsychosocial needs. Develops a treatment plan and a comprehensive termination of treatment/discharge plan. Documents objective and accurate data regarding assessments and interventions. Maintains working knowledge of community-based resources and programs. Educates patients and families on their health care options and connects them with appropriate resources. May develop and facilitate support groups and workshops as needed. May serve as a resource and preceptor to MSW and MFT interns. May provide input on treatment schedules, patient assignments, and/or crisis interventions as requested. Performs other duties as assigned.
