Medical Surgical Float Nurse specializing in swing bed care is needed in a healthcare facility located in Kirkville, Missouri. This role involves providing nursing care for up to 10 inpatient rehabilitation patients with the possibility of absorbing medical-surgical patients if volume decreases. The position is scheduled for night shifts and requires floating to different units based on competencies. The assignment is operationally focused on delivering safe, efficient patient care within a small unit environment.

Job Details

• Location: Kirkville, Missouri
• Schedule: Nights, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; experience in Rehabilitation or Medical-Surgical settings preferred
• Certifications and Education: Valid nursing license in the state of Missouri
• Shift: Nights with weekend shifts required and call responsibilities; floating to different units mainly within Medical-Surgical areas based on existing competencies
• Responsibilities: Provide nursing care for swing bed patients, manage patient needs, and adapt to unit requirements, ensuring quality patient care in a small-unit environment.
• Patient Ratio: 1:10 (swing patients only)
• Unit Capacity: 10 beds
