Highlights: Neurovascular unit in a 536-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital First-time travelers welcome; recent experience with neuro patients required Epic charting system; scrubs provided for specialty areas Floating to other units and nearby facilities may be required based on clinical needs Comprehensive orientation and interdisciplinary support available Free parking and professional development opportunities Requirements: Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at submission) Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of recent neuro patient experience BLS certification and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required Epic charting system experience required Proficient neuro skills including CVA care, pre/post neurosurgery, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and stroke management Experience with isolation precautions, peripheral line management, non-invasive airway management, and rapid response/code teams Must have reliable transportation for this assignment Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Why Join Us?
