Job Summary Neuroscience Registered Nurse (RN) Springfield, MA. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a neuroscience unit within a healthcare organization. The RN will support patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions, ensuring safety and quality care in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, at least 2 years of experience in neuroscience or medical-surgical neurology, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association, and annual certification in the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), along with 5 stroke-based continuing education units.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neurological or neurovascular patient care.
Additional Information: The unit is a 37-bed neuro-acute department within a Magnet-designated organization, caring for patients with stroke, epilepsy, spinal cord injury, infections, tumors, and neuro trauma. The team is committed to patient-centered care, safety, shared governance, and nursing autonomy. The RN will work every other holiday, supporting a balanced staffing model.
