Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• At least 1 year of nursing experience required
• 1 prior travel nursing assignment required
• Oncology RN or medical-surgical experience preferred
• 2 years of specialty experience preferred for chemotherapy support
• Current BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• ONS certification preferred for chemo-focused work
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and communication skills
• Ability to work on-site and adapt to a fast-paced acute care environment

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to oncology and medical-surgical patients
• Care for patients with acute oncology symptoms, thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, sickle cell crisis, hematology conditions, and end-of-life needs
• Monitor patient status, coordinate care, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Support treatment completion for outpatient patients who remain on the floor after clinic hours
• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech
• Collaborate with charge nurses, aides, and monitoring staff to ensure safe, efficient care
• Deliver compassionate support to patients and families throughout the care experience
