Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Nurse in Des Moines, Iowa. This role involves providing specialized nursing care on a dedicated oncology unit, with a focus on compassion and clinical excellence. The position requires adaptability to shift schedules and commitment to patient-centered care.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Nights 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with every other weekend (EOH / EOW)
  • Schedule: 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing licensure, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), at least 1 year of experience in oncology or medical-surgical nursing, and residence within the service area
  • Preferred Qualifications: Additional oncology certifications such as Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN), experience with electronic health records, and familiarity with SOPs for oncology care
  • Additional Information: The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care, executing clinical protocols, and supporting patient and family education. Adequate knowledge of radiation safety and chemotherapy administration is preferred.
