Job Summary Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Nurse MS ONC Night Shift (Location unspecified). This position entails providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a specialized oncology unit. The role involves assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in the state of practice, BLS certification, at least 1 year of clinical experience, experience in a Medical Surgical Oncology setting, and chemotherapy certification.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and professional certification related to oncology nursing.
Responsibilities include assessing patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and discharge needs; formulating and revising individualized care plans; delivering direct patient care and supervising licensed staff; evaluating patient responses to treatment; documenting in patient records; participating in quality improvement activities; and engaging in professional development activities.
Additional Information: Must have PCU with Oncology experience and chemotherapy certification, with at least 3 years of experience in the specialty.
