Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor registered nurse (RN) position in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized care to adult and geriatric cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments, including port access, PIV placement, blood products administration, and injections. The position requires a minimum of two years of acute care experience in oncology or related fields and certification in oncology nursing. The shift is scheduled for daytime hours, and the assignment begins on August 31, 2026.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license; 2 years of inpatient acute care experience in the specialty within the last 3 years; oncology certifications including ONS/ONCC; BLS certification from AHA.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, port care, blood products, and nursing in a cancer treatment environment.
  • Float: Travelers are required to float as needed.
  • Additional Information: Care involves administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and managing ports. The unit supports interdisciplinary collaboration, including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Candidates must pass strict pass/fail telemetry testing with two attempts, including recognition of lethal rhythms and heart block questions.
