We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical-Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to adult oncology patients in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor oncology and medical-surgical patients.
- Administer medications, chemotherapy-related treatments, IV therapies, and other treatments as ordered and within scope.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition, treatment reactions, and complications.
- Provide wound care and other routine nursing interventions.
- Manage pain and provide supportive patient care.
- Collaborate with physicians, oncology teams, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Follow hospital policies, infection-control procedures, and patient-safety standards.
Active RN license. BLS certification required. Previous Medical-Surgical and/or Oncology experience preferred. Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
