Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Clinical Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical Oncology on the outpatient infusion unit in Raleigh, North Carolina. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients receiving chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments, with a focus on patient assessment, education, and care coordination in a hospital setting.
Job Details:
- Schedule: M-F 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited school, licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina, and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC). Candidates must have at least 2 years of nursing experience, with a minimum of 0 years required.
- Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Floor
- Experience: 2+ years chemotherapy/immunotherapy infusion experience preferred
- Position Notes: Outpatient infusion experience in oncology, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy required. Candidate should be familiar with healthcare standards, patient education, discharge planning, complex patient care, and safety management.
- Additional Responsibilities: Patient assessment, care planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, research application, and promoting cost-effective, safe, and quality care.
