Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor RN in a outpatient cancer center located on the West Coast. This role involves providing infusion therapy and supportive care to oncology patients, including administering chemotherapy, infusions, injections, and port cares. The position requires a dedicated RN with at least one year of relevant experience, available to work day shifts consistently from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid healthcare professional license, at least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, and certifications including BLS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC), and CRNI
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience on an oncology or hematology floor, familiarity with EPIC charting system, and community hospital experience
• Additional Information:
  • The position involves primarily supporting non-chemotherapy patient populations, including tasks like phlebotomy, infusions such as Reclast/Zometa, Iron infusions, and rare genetic testing procedures.
  • Candidates should have experience with port care, IV therapy, and managing common oncological conditions such as breast, lung, and hematologic cancers.
  • No call or weekend shifts required, and float coverage is not expected.
  • The assignment is scheduled to start on 10/05/2026 and end on 04/05/2027.
  • Candidates must confirm they are comfortable with working overtimes if necessary and should verify their commute during peak times before applying.
  • This is an outpatient setting with a patient census of approximately 24 patients daily, and a patient-to-nurse ratio of 5:1 during the day.
