Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Hematology / Oncology Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Lewiston, Maine.

Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Lewiston, ME. The role involves working on the Med-Surg/Oncology unit at a facility that provides comprehensive care including cancer treatment and general surgery. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Lewiston, Maine
  • Shift: Nights (6:45 PM 7:15 AM)
  • Schedule: 36 hours per week (3 shifts of 12 hours)
  • Certifications: BCLS or BLS, Chemo Certification (Preferred but not required)
  • Years of Experience: 2+ years in similar clinical settings
  • Required Qualifications: RN license, Certification in BLS or BCLS, minimum 2 years of experience, working in inpatient settings, experience with wound Vacs, Prevena Vacs, Baxter IV Pumps, cancer, DM (Diabetes Mellitus), PNA (Pneumonia), and general surgery.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cancer, DM, PNA, general surgery
  • Additional Information:
    • Unit equipped with wound Vacs, Prevena Vacs, Baxter IV Pumps
    • EMR systems include Omnicell, EPIC, and SBAR
    • Patient population includes adult patients with complex needs
    • Wound Vacs, Prevena Vacs, Baxter IV Pumps are used routinely
    • The organization emphasizes relationship-based care and requires flexibility in scheduling
