Job Summary
Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical Oncology (MS ONC) in HILO, Hawaii. The individual will be responsible for independently administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and injections in accordance with provider orders. The role includes accessing vascular devices, performing venipuncture, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and providing patient and caregiver education. Proficiency in Epic electronic medical records is required to ensure high-quality patient care.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), and a minimum of 0 years of clinical experience. Additional qualifications include current knowledge of chemotherapy administration, port-a-cath and PICC line care, EPIC EMR proficiency, and ability to verify informed consent prior to treatment.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in oncology nursing, familiarity with handling hazardous drugs, and patient education skills.
• Additional Information: Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to attend an employee health appointment on Friday. Candidates unable to meet this arrival requirement should not accept the assignment.
