Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse (MS ONC) Location: Not Specified. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for oncology patients within an acute care setting. The position requires a dedicated professional capable of managing complex patient needs, administering chemotherapy, and supporting patients through their treatment journey.

Job Details

• Position Description: RN/Oncology with experience in the management of patients with solid tumors such as lung, breast, pancreatic cancers, and bone marrow transplant (BMT). The role involves IV starts, administering chemotherapy (not by TN unless certified), port access, and central line care.
• Certifications: Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required; a BSN degree is preferred.
• Education and Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in an oncology setting. Pending licensure accepted; active MO or IL license required at the time of submittal.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Patient Care Responsibilities: Managing ports, administering blood products, and interpreting dysrhythmias are essential. Care involves post-treatment patient management, stem cell therapies, and handling patients with lung, breast, and pancreatic cancers.
• Additional Information: Must pass Relias EKG exam. Float within service line may be required. Open to first-time travelers.
• Submission Requirements: Must submit current certifications, license information, and fulfill compliance deadlines. No local candidates within 75 miles accepted.
