Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical Oncology position requiring a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele experience, with night shifts on a 4x12 schedule and every other weekend availability.

• Medical Surgical Oncology unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 4x12 hours (18:30–07:00)
• Flexible schedule options: 36/36, 36/48, or 48/48 depending on employment agreement
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to other units required as needed
• Travelers do not administer chemotherapy
• Epic EMR (preferred)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TN or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current AHA BLS certification (AHA certifications only accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg/Tele experience required
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Two supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Drug test must be completed within 12–14 calendar days prior to start
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC guidelines for fit testing
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred

• Candidates are expected to actively participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside regular clinical duties
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs); orientation modules average 4–5 hours
• RTO (requested time off) must be disclosed at time of consideration
• Candidates must be available and flexible during the 12–14 day pre-start period, including the possibility of a second lab visit for drug testing if needed
• Local candidates (within 100 miles of the facility) are not accepted
