Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse in Boston, Massachusetts. This role involves providing specialized nursing care on an oncology floor, including managing patient treatment plans, coordinating care, and responding to patient inquiries. The position requires heavy triage experience and is ideal for nurses with hematology and oncology expertise, particularly those familiar with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and care coordination.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, with every other weekend required
  • Required Qualifications: Massachusetts (MA) nursing license required must have at least 2 years of relevant experience; Hematology/Oncology experience; BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with chemotherapy and immunotherapy; strong triage background; familiarity with PET scan authorization, medication renewals, FMLA paperwork; 4-5 years of Hematology-Oncology (HemOnc) experience preferred
  • Additional Information:
    • HemOnc experience required for oncology RN role, with chemo and immunotherapy certifications mandatory
    • Must be separated from any previous facility employment for at least one year; travelers who have worked within the last year are ineligible
    • No local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility accepted
    • Parking can be expensive (up to $43/day); public transportation options available
