Job Summary
A Medical Surgical Orthopedic Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a healthcare facility location. This role involves providing specialized patient care to adolescents, adults, and geriatrics on a busy orthopedic unit. The position requires delivering quality nursing services in a fast-paced environment, with an emphasis on orthopedic trauma and post-surgical patient management, while adhering to established clinical protocols.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state or compact nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), and at least 2 years of recent experience in a medical-surgical orthopedic unit. Experience in charting with Epic electronic medical record system is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma level II procedures and community hospital experience is preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit supports interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams. The assignment begins on 10/06/2026 and concludes on 01/05/2027, with half of the scheduled shifts on weekends. Candidate must have current state or compact license and comply with all onboarding requirements.
• Submittal Details: Applicants must have a valid license in hand prior to submittal, and all RTO (request for time off) must be listed at the time of application. Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler.
