Job Summary
Medical Surgical Orthopedic Floor Nurse in en_US This position involves providing compassionate care to adult inpatients on a medical-surgical orthopedic unit. The role focuses on ensuring patient safety, minimizing harm, and enhancing the overall patient experience through effective pain management, proactive rounding, and bedside hand-off. The unit features surveillance and telemetry monitoring using Masimo technology and serves orthopedic, non-acute stroke, and trauma patients within a Level I age-friendly facility.

Job Details

• Position Description: Provide care to adult medical-surgical inpatients, including orthopedic, neuro-surgical, and level 1 trauma patients, emphasizing patient safety, quality, and zero-harm. The unit is a 24-bed facility utilizing surveillance and telemetry with Masimo technology and serves orthopedic, non-acute stroke, and trauma patients.
• Required Qualifications: Valid driver's license or state ID, UHS submission packet, UHS prior employment form, UHS skills checklist, high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of clinical experience in medical-surgical orthopedics.
• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemetry monitoring, trauma, and orthopedic care.
• Additional Information: The role involves caring for adult inpatients in a fast-paced, level I age-friendly facility. Flexibility to work shifts and adherence to clinical guidelines are essential.
