Job Summary
Medical Surgical Orthopedic Floor Nurse in en_US This position involves providing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing standards. The role includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, as well as providing health teaching, counseling, and supportive therapy to patients within a healthcare facility setting.

Job Details

• Position Description: Performs nursing functions and delegated medical functions aligned with state Board of Nursing standards. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care; documents according to hospital and regulatory guidelines; uses resources efficiently; and promotes organizational mission, vision, and values.
• Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) from an accredited school of nursing, current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association, and 1 year of relevant experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing and certification appropriate for the unit or service are preferred.
• Responsibilities: Provide supportive and restorative therapy directly or through delegation and supervision; evaluate health status, monitor therapy and treatment plans, perform health education and counseling, and refer patients as needed.
• Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency; may be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
