• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Contract Length: 17 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Charting System: MEDITECH
• Unit Size: 44 beds
• Orientation: General orientation plus unit-specific training
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required to other acute care areas as needed

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience
• 1 prior travel assignment required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIHSS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Comfortable caring for a 1:5 patient ratio, with occasional 1:6 assignments
• MEDITECH experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
• Strong adaptability, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills in a busy acute care setting

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality care to Med/Surg patients with varying acuity levels
• Perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and monitor patient progress
• Administer medications and treatments according to established nursing protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing assistants, and interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately in the MEDITECH charting system
• Respond to changing patient conditions and escalate concerns appropriately
• Support unit flow by assisting with floating assignments and patient holds when needed
• Deliver compassionate bedside care while maintaining a strong focus on safety and efficiency
