Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• BLS certification from AHA required
• NIHSS certification from AHA required
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care environment with patient ratios of approximately 1:5 to 1:6

Med/Surg Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide direct, high-quality care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Monitor patient status, administer treatments, and respond to changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing assistants, and interdisciplinary team members to support safe, efficient care
• Support patients requiring telemetry monitoring and occasional floating within acute care areas
• Maintain accurate documentation in MEDITECH and clear communication throughout each shift
• Promote a safe, patient-centered environment while upholding unit standards and best practices
