Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Nurse specializing in inpatient rehabilitation at a facility located in Richmond, Virginia. The position involves providing comprehensive care on a 36-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation unit primarily during night shifts. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification, at least 1 year of medical-surgical experience or experience in a similar setting, and current licensure as a registered nurse.
- Preferred Qualifications: Certified in Rehabilitation Nursing (CRRN), experienced in inpatient rehabilitation nursing.
- Additional Information: The unit accommodates 36 patients with a staffing ratio of 5-6 patients per nurse. The team includes one charge nurse per shift, seven registered nurses, three certified nursing assistants, and 1-3 sitters. Equipment used includes Hoyer and sit-to-stand lifts. EMR system utilized is Meditech. Typical procedures performed on the unit include IV medication administration, PEG tube feedings, heparin drips, and wound care. Candidates are expected to have a positive, energetic, collaborative, caring, and dependable personality. Dress code is navy blue scrubs.
