Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Rehabilitation (MS REHAB) is needed for a facility located in Madison, Wisconsin. This inpatient rehabilitation nursing position focuses on providing high-acuity care to adult patients requiring intensive rehabilitative services following conditions such as stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries. The role involves working on a 12-hour night shift, supporting patient recovery goals, and contributing to a multidisciplinary team environment.

- Required Qualifications:
- Current BLS certification
- One (1) or more years of nursing experience in skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environments
- Valid nursing license in the state of Wisconsin
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 13 weeks of Epic electronic health record experience
- Med-Surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience related to patient acuity
- Float: No, currently. May be required to float to a satellite inpatient rehab facility within 20 minutes in the future.
- Additional Information:
- The inpatient rehab hospital can experience high acuity cases similar to a medical-surgical unit. Nurses are expected to assist certified nursing assistants (C.N.As) and respond to call lights for patient safety.
- Orientation sessions are scheduled periodically throughout early 2026.
- Attendance and punctuality are essential, with policies adhering to internal standards.
- Staffing involves handling equipment such as ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy and Sara Plus, slide boards, vital sign monitors, EKG machines, blood glucose monitors, and charting via electronic health record systems.
