Job Summary
Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor Nurse, located in the acute rehab unit, provides specialized nursing care for patients with neurological conditions, post-surgical needs, and complex medical issues. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, supporting interdisciplinary team efforts, and adhering to unit-specific protocols.

Job Details

• Position Description: The role involves providing nursing care to patients with neuro, neurosurgery, amputations, multi-trauma, and cardiac conditions; requires strong neuro skills. Certifications required include BLS (American Heart Association).
• Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated, BLS certification, minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a relevant setting, and ability to work night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Unit has a 29-bed capacity, patient ratios are 5:1 during the day and 6:1 at night. RN's are required to attend team conferences and learn specific rehab documentation, including QRP. Orientation includes 2 days of class and 2-3 days with a preceptor. Floating to other units such as LTAC or med-surg may be required; training provided. Scrubs of any color acceptable, with no t-shirts unless approved.
• Submission Requirements: Active Illinois license or proof of application, last four digits of SSN, confirmation of understanding of drug-free policy, and requested time off.
