Job Summary Medical Surgical RN San Antonio, TX. This position involves providing direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical floor within a healthcare facility. The role requires managing various surgical cases and trauma patients, adhering to unit-specific protocols, and ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.
Job Details
Position Description: The Medical Surgical RN will care for surgical and trauma patients, performing procedures and managing wound care, IV start and care, central line maintenance, NG tube management, and Foley insertions.
Required Qualifications: Active Texas Registered Nurse license, at least 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, BLS certification, and familiarity with Meditech charting system.
Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with tracheostomy care, wound vacs or large dressing changes, 3-way bladder irrigation, and patient teaching and communication.
Additional Information: Candidates must be able to float as needed, with a strong emphasis on safety and flexibility in clinical responsibilities.
