Job Summary: Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in Corpus Christi, Texas. This role involves providing comprehensive care to adult patients on a facility's medical-surgical unit, with a focus on standard nursing procedures and patient-centered care. The position requires adaptability to unit guidelines and collaborative teamwork.
Job Details:
Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, acute med/surg experience of at least 1+ years within the last year, ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time
Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of acute med/surg experience within the last year, background in orthopedics or neuro-surgery, additional med/surg/Telemetry experience considered a plus
Float: Float rotation may be required
Additional Information: The unit currently consists of 16 beds and 25 staff members. It handles both Med/Surg and Covid-positive patients with typical patient ratios up to 6:1. Standard equipment and electronic health records (Meditech) are used. Candidates should demonstrate friendly, positive, and team-focused personalities, adhering to unit dress code and policies. The role includes rotating weekends and on-call as needed.
