Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring 1-2 years of experience and an active OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a short-term acute care hospital
• Level III Trauma facility with 110 total staffed beds
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Required to cover pediatric patients as needed
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:45-7:15)
• Every other weekend coverage required
• No call responsibilities
• Float required
• Cannot have a blocked schedule
• Uses Meditech charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required
• ACLS and CPI preferred
• 1-2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Telemetry experience preferred but not required
• Pediatric experience within the last 3 years preferred
• Meditech charting experience preferred
• IV therapy/phlebotomy and feeding tube care and management experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide medical-surgical nursing care including feeding tube management and IV therapy as needed
• Blue scrubs required for nursing staff
• Facility is a voluntary non-profit, general medical and surgical hospital with a Level III Trauma designation
• Local candidates accepted
• Candidates must reside within a 45-mile radius
