Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring at least one year of experience and an active NJ or compact RN license.

Details

• General medical/surgical unit caring for stroke/TIA, UTI, sepsis, pneumonia, isolation, and weakness/unsteady gait patients
• Patients admitted from the surrounding community, assisted living facilities, and nursing care facilities
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Every other weekend required
• 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Rapid Response/Code team experience
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management skills
• Respiratory care skills including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management
• Isolation precautions and PPE knowledge required
• Charting system experience required, EPIC experience preferred

Additional Information

• Navy top and bottom scrubs required
• Does not accept candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility
• Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is allowed during the first week of orientation
