Job Summary: Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in a general healthcare facility. The position involves providing patient care on a Medical-Surgical and Telemetry Unit with a focus on adult and geriatric populations. The role requires expertise in managing various care needs within a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
Location: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Unit
Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: BLS, NIHSS certifications, 2 years of experience, proficiency with Epic charting system, license in hand, experience with managing Ports, blood product administration, CVA, wound care, telemetry monitoring, and using rapid response/team protocols.
Preferred Qualifications: Travel experience, experience on a Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Unit.
Schedule: Dayshift, 3x12-hour shifts, with half of the scheduled shifts on weekends.
Additional Information: The unit has 19 private rooms, with patient ratios of 6 during days and nights. The patient population includes young adults through geriatrics with a broad range of care needs. Successful candidates will complete onsite orientation, including core items/labs and modules.
