Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Amarillo, TX 79106

Start Date: August 31, 2026

Location: Amarillo, Texas

Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 option, Day shift (07:00 - 19:30). 91-day assignment through November 30, 2026.

Highlights:

• Medical/Surgical unit with 45 beds and average daily census of 37 patients
• Telemetry monitoring handled by centralized unit with free-floating charge nurse support
• Patient ratio of 1:6 with comprehensive interdisciplinary team support including pharmacy, respiratory services, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system with 20 hours of orientation provided
• Adult and geriatric patient population in a collaborative care environment
• First-time travelers welcome with minimum 1 year of experience

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient Medical/Surgical experience required
• Recent Epic charting experience (within 6 months) required
• BLS certification required
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios preferred
• Skills in dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions/PPE, peripheral line care, and nasal cannula management
• Willingness to float to units of equal or lesser acuity as needed
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius from the area
