Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Tyler, TX 75701

Start Date: September 8, 2026

Location: Tyler, Texas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), 91-day assignment. Patient ratio 1:6. Orientation includes 16 hours onsite.

Highlights:

• 19-bed private room medical-surgical unit specializing in neurological and stroke-related conditions
• Patient population includes acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, TIA, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injury, and neurosurgical diagnoses
• Equipped with continuous telemetry and pulse oximetry monitoring for comprehensive patient assessment
• Interdisciplinary team support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
• Evidence-based, patient-centered care focused on neurological assessment and stroke recovery
• Epic charting system with comprehensive documentation support

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state or compact license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with patient ratio of 1:6
• Proficiency in neurological assessments, telemetry monitoring, IV management, blood product administration, and stroke care protocols
• Must complete core compliance items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing
