Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active IL RN license and at least 2 years of recent experience.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS required, NIHSS preferred
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Experience in telemetry, respiratory care, and tracheostomy care/management

Additional Information

• Provide medical-surgical nursing care with a focus on cardiac and respiratory monitoring
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO limited to 7 days maximum, with no RTO permitted during the first or last week of the contract
• Block scheduling requests must be discussed prior to offer acceptance
• Former UChicago Medicine, PRN, or Ingalls permanent staff must have a 7-month gap before returning as a traveler
