Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in Oklahoma or a compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, preferably in medical-surgical nursing
• Current BLS certification
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience caring for patients with ESRD, AKI, diabetic complications, and other medical-surgical diagnoses preferred
• Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient unit with established patient ratios
• Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate bedside care to medical-surgical patients on a renal-focused unit
• Monitor patient status, assess changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer treatments and support care for patients with complex renal and medical-surgical diagnoses
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
• Implement isolation precautions and appropriate PPE practices
• Provide peripheral line care and assist with non-invasive airway management
• Collaborate with rapid response and code teams when clinically indicated
• Partner with interdisciplinary services to support high-quality patient outcomes
• Float to like units within scope as needed based on facility needs
• Contribute to a positive patient experience through professional, team-oriented care
