Job Requirements

• Active Oklahoma RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• Previous Epic charting experience required
• Strong telemetry monitoring, respiratory care, and patient assessment skills
• Ability to safely manage a 1:5 patient ratio
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Comfortable floating to like units within scope as needed
• Must provide requested time off (RTO) at time of submission

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care on a medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and communicate changes in patient condition promptly
• Provide care for respiratory patients, including COPD and tracheostomy support
• Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and support blood product administration as indicated
• Perform wound care, oxygen therapy, and non-invasive airway support
• Document assessments, interventions, and care plans accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, IV teams, pharmacy, PT, radiology, and rapid response resources
• Follow infection control protocols and isolation precautions for patients with infectious conditions
• Respond quickly to changes in patient status and assist with code or rapid response situations
