Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a medical/surgical setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient progress and collaborate with healthcare team to adjust care plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and preventative care.
• Document patient assessments and care in accordance with policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a medical/surgical nursing specialty.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• Strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

This position requires a 12-hour shift from 0700 to 1930, with a rotating schedule that includes weekends.

Holiday Expectations

Participation in holiday shifts is a requirement for this position. Nurses must be available to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).
