Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in hand
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients
• Strong skills in telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Experience with tracheostomy care and management
• Comfortable working in a float pool setting
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to Medical-Surgical patients
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions accurately in Epic
• Manage telemetry monitoring and interpret dysrhythmias as needed
• Provide tracheostomy care and management while collaborating with respiratory therapy when appropriate
• Support patients with a variety of medical and surgical needs across the unit
• Float to assigned areas as required to meet staffing needs
• Work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote quality outcomes
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism, flexibility, and patient-centered care
