Job Summary Medical Surgical Floor Nurse, located in Texas, responsible for providing competent patient care in a medical and surgical setting. The role involves independent practice, routine and complex care delivery, and the ability to manage clinical contingencies effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
Position Description: Providing patient care within a medical and surgical unit, handling cases such as joint replacements, general abdominal surgeries, and spinal surgeries. The nurse practices independently, develops long-term care plans, and manages contingencies.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, valid RN License in Texas or a compact state, BLS certification (American Heart Association), no minimum of 0 years of experience required, work schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, full-time position, minimum 36 hours per week, start date on 11/01/2026 and end date 01/30/2027.
Responsibilities: Utilize the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of assigned patients. Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitor for side effects, document all care, and educate patients and families.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
