Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position on a Dedicated Education Unit at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of experience in a large or high-volume hospital setting.
Details
- Work in a 30-bed Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) focused on Med/Surg patient care — travel nurses will be providing direct patient care, not educational duties
- Mixed Med/Surg patient population with high acuity and complex cases
- Patient ratio of 5–6:1
- 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
- Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
- Block scheduling is generally not approved
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact license required
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma center or large, high-volume hospital required
- Demonstrated ability to manage critical, fast-paced, high-acuity situations
- Candidates with experience limited to small or low-acuity hospitals will not be considered
