Registered Nurse - MedSurg / Telemetry

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in MedSurg/Telemetry to join our team. This role entails providing care for general medical and surgical patients, particularly those awaiting surgical procedures in a fast-paced admission unit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in the MedSurg/Telemetry unit.
• Manage a rapid turnover of patients, ensuring timely admissions.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and procedures.
• Work independently while collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in patient conditions.

Patient Ratio

The typical patient-to-nurse ratio in this unit is 5 to 6 patients per nurse.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in MedSurg or telemetry nursing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Proven ability to work independently and communicate clearly.
