Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a fast-paced Inpatient Observation Unit requiring 2+ years of acute care specialty experience in a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center.

Details

• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Staffing a 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit located near the ED
• Cares for medical beds, trauma overflow beds, and mid-hold patients with lower to higher acuity
• Fast-paced environment with frequently changing patient acuity
• May be required to float to other areas of competency
• No on-call responsibilities
• Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling generally not approved

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required; TNCC preferred
• Minimum 2 years of relevant specialty experience in an acute care setting required
• Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospital required
• Proven experience managing critical, fast-paced trauma cases required
• Must submit demographic information including a badge-appropriate photo
