Job Summary: Medical Surgical Nurse in North Carolina This role involves providing competent clinical nursing care aligned with professional standards within a hospital setting. The position requires coordinating patient care utilizing the nursing process, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient assessments, education, discharge planning, and complex problem-solving. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited school of Nursing; licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA or ARC); at least 2 years of Medical Surgical (MedSurg) or Telemetry experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of Nursing.
Additional Information: Candidates should demonstrate skills in patient assessment, discharge planning, point of care testing, healthcare standards compliance, interdisciplinary collaboration, care prioritization, complex problem-solving, patient education, and safety management. The position involves patient care for complex health issues, resource consultation, and participating in unit goals and safety initiatives.
