Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) Nights the organization is seeking a highly skilled RN with expertise in medical-surgical patient care for a night shift assignment. The position requires providing comprehensive nursing care to adult patients within a fast-paced, Magnet and Teaching hospital environment. The assignment begins on 10/12/2026 and ends on 01/11/2027, with a start date approximately 3 weeks from the current date.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license in the appropriate state or Compact license, 2 or more years of experience in medical-surgical patient care, familiarity with EMR charting systems (Epic preferred), ACLS and BLS certifications, and experience managing adult patients requiring telemetry.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level I Trauma Center or teaching hospital environment, more than 5 years of patient care experience, and previous experience on a specialized surgical unit including ENT and Plastic Surgery patients.
• Float: Float within scope to meet facility needs may be required.
• Additional Information: The facility is a Magnet and Teaching hospital with 1,266 staffed beds and specializes in complex ENT and plastic surgery procedures. The unit cares for patients with tracheostomies, total laryngectomies, free flap monitoring, drain care, tube feeding, wound care, and telemetry. Candidates should be prepared to handle specialized procedures including tracheostomies, total laryngectomies, and post-op flap monitoring.
