Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Portland, OR 97225

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Portland, Oregon metropolitan area

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Every other weekend required (Friday and Saturday for night shift). Patient ratio 1:4. Floating between units may be required based on facility needs.

• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system in a modern, well-equipped medical surgical unit with 40 beds
• Opportunity to work with adult and geriatric patient populations in a collaborative environment
• No parking fees; scrubs of any color accepted
• Potential to float to multiple locations within the health system based on clinical needs

Requirements:

• Active Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• Experience with 1:4 patient ratios
• Proficiency in Epic or similar charting systems
• Core skills required: Med/Surg, IV management, telemetry monitoring, wound care, central line management, blood product administration, tracheostomy care, chest tube management, and isolation precautions
• Must have reliable personal vehicle for this assignment
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Clean background check required; facility does not accept background hits
• Commitment to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
