Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical – Portland, OR 97225

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Portland, Oregon

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Every other weekend required (Friday and Saturday). Patient ratio 1:4. 91-day assignment with 12-hour orientation.

Highlights:

• Short-term acute care teaching facility with 536 beds and 40-bed unit with daily census of 37
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• Epic charting system with scrubs provided for specialty areas
• Floating may be required to sister facilities in the region based on patient care needs and skill sets
• Free parking available on-site
• First-time travelers and pending licenses accepted

Requirements:

• Current RN license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• Experience with 1:4 patient ratios
• Proficiency in Epic or similar charting systems
• Skills required include: Med/Surg, rapid response/code teams, peripheral and central line management, IV therapy, PCA, wound care, telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, tracheostomy care, chest tubes, high flow nasal cannula, and more
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Reliable transportation required for this assignment
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
