Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in medical-surgical care is needed in the Denver, Colorado area. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with established standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care, provide health teaching and counseling, and ensure documentation aligns with regulatory guidelines. Job Details:

• Location: Denver, Colorado
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice; Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; BLS certification from the American Heart Association; minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, or equivalent.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Nursing; additional certifications such as ACLS, NRP, or PALS as appropriate for the unit or service; previous experience in a medical-surgical floor setting.
• Responsibilities: Performs nursing assessments, executes therapy and treatment plans, provides health education and counseling, delegates tasks, and documents patient care in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications. May also be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
