Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• May float within scope to meet facility needs
• Uses Meditech Expanse EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN state or compact) required in-hand prior to start
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, PALS, CMSRN, or RN-BC certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Meditech charting experience strongly preferred
• Community hospital and LTAC experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/peripheral line management
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy management preferred
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration

• Provide direct patient care across a broad range of Med/Surg, telemetry, orthopedic, and surgical cases
• Call out policy applies if absence exceeds one week
• Local candidates accepted at local rate within an 80-mile radius
• Holiday availability should be indicated at time of consideration
• Strong teamwork, self-direction, time management, and communication skills required in a fast-paced environment
• First-time travelers considered depending on experience level
