Job Summary A registered nurse specializing in Medical Surgical care is needed for a position in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing safe, patient-centered nursing care within a dedicated medicine unit, using evidence-based practices and collaborative team efforts to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Job Details
Certifications: NYS RN License, BLS
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Associate degree considered with relevant experience or active BSN program enrollment
Experience: 2 years of medical unit experience; 1-year travel experience preferred for travel positions
Location Requirements: Must be authorized to work in the state
Schedule: Night shift from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, every other weekend, 11.5-hour shifts, with a minimum of 34.5 hours per week
Float: Float rotation may be required
Responsibilities include delivering patient care using Relationship Centered Care principles, educating patients and families, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and performing charge nurse duties as assigned.
